Resilience is a rhythm, not a trait
Reframing resilience as something you practice in ordinary weeks — not only in crisis.
We often treat resilience like a personality feature: some people have it; others do not. That story is unhelpful and usually false.
Resilience is closer to a rhythm — sleep, honesty, repair after rupture, asking for help, returning to the body after a hard day.
Ordinary practices that compound
- Name the hard thing out loud to someone safe.
- Reduce one unnecessary obligation this week.
- Move your body in a way that is not a performance.
- End the day with a short reflection practice.
Crisis will still come. Rhythm makes recovery less lonely.
